San Diego, California – June 10, 2010 — ESET, the leader in proactive threat detection, today announced availability of the Beta 2 release of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Mac® and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Linux for public testing.

- Smaller system footprint
Cyber threats are platform agnostic. They increasingly exploit not only vulnerabilities in unpatched operating systems, but also popular applications available across Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and other platforms. As threats evolve, comprehensive computer protection, regardless of operating system, is essential to protecting data, privacy and identity. ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 protects your Mac from both known and emerging threats — even before signature updates become available.
ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Mac Beta 2 version is a fully-functional precursor to the final product which will have additional enhancements and complete documentation. It is intended for experienced users and should not be installed on computers that perform critical tasks because it may cause errors or crashes.
