ESET releases BETA 2 for ESET NOD32 Antivirus for MAC and Linux

New version provides performance optimizations, full-screen mode pop-up alert blocking and smaller system footprint

San Diego, California – June 10, 2010 — ESET, the leader in proactive threat detection, today announced availability of the Beta 2 release of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Mac® and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Linux for public testing.

Key improvements compared to the Beta 1 version, released at the end of 2009 include:

  • Performance optimizations
  • Stability improvements
  • Configuration improvements
  • Context menu scanning
  • Full screen mode that prevents pop-up of alert notifications when using full screen applications such as Keynote or games
  • Smaller system footprint
